Washington State’s THE DRIP roar onto the scene with a blasting EP of filthy, angry grind produced and engineered by Joel Grind of Toxic Holocaust. An absolute must for fans of all of the ferocious forefathers of grind-Napalm Death, Nasum, Rotten Sound, etc. This is a relentlessly skull crushing record of pissed off, high energy, barbaric grind. This hate is timeless.

Atlanta’s Primate are an all-star band of heavy music scene vets hellbent on delivering grade-A punk-rock, the likes of which has not been set loose on the ears of the world since the glory days hardcore. Fronted by Brutal Truth vocalist Kevin Sharp, Primate channel decades of multi-continental punk and grind into their debut mini-LP ‘Draw Back A Stump’ to create a glorious record of firey rage. Originally self-released by the band in extremely limited edition, ‘Draw Back A Stump’ has been remixed and remastered as well as expanded with bonus tracks.
MORTA SKULD's "Through the Eyes of Death" combines the band's two 1990 demos, "Prolong the Agony" and "Gory Departure", into one collection of unstoppable Midwestern death! "Through The Eyes Of Death" is a must for collectors of classic, primitive death metal in all its forms.
Both demos produced by former DEATH manager Eric Greif and featuring album cover art from Travis Smith (DEATH, OPETH, NEVERMORE, KING DIAMOND)
This is where it all began. For the first time ever Chuck Schuldiner’s pre-DEATH band MANTAS’s recordings have been officially collected into one fully authorized compilation. ‘Death By Metal’ is the brutally raw sound of an entire genre being born out of the garage of Chuck Schuldiner’s Florida home close to 3 decades ago. These are the earliest recordings of death metal legend, pioneer and groundbreaker Chuck Schuldiner absolutely ripping the face off of hordes of devotees worldwide. This is the first time that these recordings have been legitimately available since their original release as the Death By Metal demo tape (1984). This is the beginning of DEATH!
Please Explode is the debut full-length from North Carolina's sick and twisted death/grinders COLUMNS. Featuring former members of cult Relapse grinders Hemdale plus current and former members of renowned death metal bands Wretched, Vehemence and Glass Casket, COLUMNS blast and shred their way through 16 tracks of premium Southern grindcore, marinated in a blistering bowl of death metal. These seasoned extreme metal vets seamlessly fuse together rabid vocals and tongue-in-cheek, deviant lyrics with a cacophony of break-neck bursts full of many twists and turns. This is grindcore that is both obscene and extreme.
Rarely does a debut record come bursting out of the gates this ferociously angry and, frankly, awesome. Stirring up a pissed off mix of Napalm Death and His Hero Is Gone, Colorado’s CALL OF THE VOID pound out a furious ten song grand f*ing slam of a record. ‘Dragged Down A Dead End Path’ truly lives up to its name, because this is a record that beats listeners into submission. Blending hardcore, sludge, powerviolence, crust and grind, CALL OF THE VOID are legit rising stars in hardcore and metal. ‘Dragged Down A Dead End Path’s crust and grind elements seamlessly merge to conjure visions of grind godfathers Pig Destroyer while effortlessly treading the abrasive caustic nature of Converge’s hybrid progressive hardcore and Mastodon’s technical metal-tinged rock mastery.
Heavily influenced by pioneers Cynic and Atheist, Australia’s ALARUM are one of the very bands in today’s metal scene wrirting jazz-infused, progressive, technical death metal. Their newest album, Natural Causes, is their first new release in seven years and as fans will find out, it is well worth wait.
Abysmal Dawn unleashes a virulent strain of modern death metal on its Relapse Records debut Programmed to Consume. The band’s metallic assault thunders with all the hallmarks of death metal’s finest traits, and prove that Abysmal Dawn is an explosive new force in American death metal.

New York City's progressive death metal newcomers PYRRHON (pronounced peer-on) emerge from the urban decay with a nightmarish offering of cerebral, extreme metal. The Mother of Virtues is a mind bending merger of clanging death metal, surreal psychedelia, dark jazz rhythms and delirious storytelling. Recorded with Ryan Jones (Today is the Day, Mutilation Rites) and mastered by Colin Marston (Gorguts, Krallice), The Mother of Virtues takes the listener on a harrowing journey into the darkest corners of musical extremity.
The fourth overall full length from PROSTITUTE DISFIGUREMENT is chock full of burly, lumberjack like riffs that chop and smack and thrash all the way until the very end. Descendants Of Depravity is an exercise in brutality, speed, and aggression, sure to please fans of Impaled, Decapitated, and Suffocation.
Includes bonus DVD with full Dynamo show from 2007.
I must say these guys have improved a lot. They became really technical and still maintain that heavy ass wicked riffing they always had, their vocalist sounds much more aggressive (although I do prefer their former vocalist) and the drummer sounds pretty intense, even though they sound kind of triggered. They could easily be compared with bands like Hate, Vader, Decapitated, Zyklon or even Kronos.
First of all the drummer Mike sounds pretty damn intense, with nonstop double bass parts, extremely ace blast beating and very elaborated chops. ''The Sadist King and The Generalssimo of Pain'' proves how much stamina he has, attacking your ears with superb beats at all moments. ''in Sanity Concealed'' is another good example. Now add their skilled guitarists Niels and Danny, which perfectly blend their savage riffs with Mike's drums. Guitars sound very solid with lots of catchy riffs and brutal passages, these guys know how to create truly brutal sounding metal, and of course, crazy solos aren't absent (''Storm of the fiend'' thou must hear)
With all these characteristics, there was something that made this album rating go down a little bit, which was the bass. Although it does have a nice tone, Patrick never stands out with his bass guitar. He's only following the guitar melody, and the tone could also improve a little bit. The bass does its job perfectly, but it never stands out, it's just there.
Now let me tell you their vocalist Niels knows how to pull some aggressive old school death metal roars. Again, nothing out of this world, but still worth checking out. Although I do enjoy their former gurgling voice and the high pitched vocals, I certainly think old school roars sound much more brutal
Definitely worth the 20 bucks I spent getting this album. Recommended for true metal fans.
Leaders of metal's recent wave of extremity, the death metal masters ORIGIN, have released their highly anticipated new studio album entitled "Omnipresent". Cover artwork crafted by Colin Marks (Nevermore, Kataklysm, Exodus).
Featuring the recording debut of new vocalist Jason Keyser (ex-Skinless), together with drummer John Longstreth (ex-Angelcorpse), guitarist Paul Ryan and bassist Mike Flores, ORIGIN mark a genre-defying return with their 6th full-length release. The band comments: "Omnipresent is a culmination of 15 years of technical death metal brutality that transcends definition". And continues: "From light speed to absolute zero, it is a journey to the farthest reaches of the universe, to the darkest nether of the mind".
The follow-up to 2011's "Entity" album was recorded and mixed with long-time producer Robert Rebeck at Chapman Recording Studio (US) and mastered together with Colin Marston at Menegroth - The Thousand Caves (Altar of Plagues, Krallice, Jarobe).
Most likely the best Dutch grinding hardcore/crust attack ever, but saying it this way we do short on what DrDoom accomplishes here!
This is actually the debut album from one of the finest Metallic Grindcore bands this side of Nasum’s unfortunate exit from the scene. DrDoom picks up almost exactly where that band left off with a collection of sixteen explosive and varied tracks that most definitely want the hardened grind/hardcore fan wanting more. This amazing band is certainly on its way towards the top of the modern grind scene, and anyone dedicated to that style of music is highly encouraged to pick this disc up.
The music on this album is in a perpetual state of explosion; every note is another package of C4 going off on your doorstep, and it is package full of surprises, but no happy birthday here! The riffs are fast, crusty, very diverse and occasionally technical, but moreover they’re possessing a ferocity never heard before on mainland Europe! Drums echo the riffs astoundingly, with an incredibly human and frantic performance on the kit giving even more life to the music and animating even the most calm sections. The greatest departure from the established Nasum style is in the vocals: here the music is accompanied by aggressive unhinged screaming, where every word feels like it takes five lungfuls of air to be voiced. Just when one brief track has completely used its musical ideas up, the band shotguns into the next, never leaving the listener space to breathe or comprehend what happened until the disc has finally finished... and leaves you gasping for air...
If you enjoy metallic grindcore, this should be the next item you add to your collection. DrDoom is alarmingly good at this style of music, and it’s rare to see a band in this style never lose step even for a moment in their race towards self-destruction and chaos.
Recommended if you like: Nasum, His Hero Is Gone, Tragedy, Misery Index, Napalm Death, Anaal Nathrakh, From Ashes Rise, Converge
Perhaps the most awaited brutal death metal album of 2007 and will surely not dissapoint the most eager fans!!. If you're into their already classic debut album and of course SUFFOCATION then get your hands on this now!
The brainchild of left handed lead guitarist and founding member Eric Hersemann, GIGAN has been challenging the mortal laws of extreme music and creativity since early 2006. Forged around the simple notion that the imagination should be art's only limit, GIGAN's style of creative delivery has simultaneously invoked reactions of amazement, disbelief, shock, awe and ultimately- respect. Featuring the same boundary-pushing extremity but also some new elements, instruments and approaches to delivery, "Quasi-Hallucinogenic Sonic Landscapes" will surprise and delight both new and original GIGAN devotees...and the legacy continues...
Northcote's own Blood Duster sunk to new lows for the second full-length Str8outtanorthcote. No topic was sacred as the boys attacked girls, punks, vegetarians, hippies, the record industry and even Relapse. Their spot-on balance of groove to grind in their masculine musical posturing makes Str8outtanorthcote a mandatory, myopic masterpiece. Now with 9 bonus blasts of black humor and blastbeatboogiegrindingrockyafuck!
These deranged Aussie yobs are the original 'gun-totin', god-hatin', porn-worshippin', snuff-lovin', grinding death motherfuckers" and Fisting the Dead is the proof.
