New York City-based experimental and technical death metal quartet, PYRRHON, are back with their latest works, "Growth Without End".
The five-song Growth Without End was recorded and mixed by Ryan Jones (TODAY IS THE DAY, MUTILATION RITES), mastered by Colin Marston (GORGUTS, KRALLICE), and as expected from the talented and lethal PYRRHON, is a total mindfuck, merging bouts of punishing death, super-evil noise rock, twisted math, chaotic and menacing grind. It's kind of like Daughters, Brutal Truth, Merzbow and Autopsy created a batch of catchy-by-reverse-psychology songs, and then promised to never speak of them again. As usual, vocalist Doug Moore brings a wildly varied palate of screams, growls, grunts, howls, barks and spoken power to his ominous, thought-provoking and voyeuristic lyrics that navigate the miasma of sonic insanity the band lays down. It’s clear each member in the band is a virtuoso – skills used not to show off, but to engulf the listener with emotion, power, tasty chaos and passages that will get inside of you, possess you, and bring cathartic, ‘hell yes!’ pleasure and pain to all your musical glands.
Recommended if you like GORGUTS, ULCERATE, MESHUGGAH, DEATH, MISERY INDEX, SUFFOCATION, ATHEIST as well as DEATHSPELL OMEGA, KRALLICE.
This is CD version released on Selfmadegod Records, following its initial vinyl version released May 2015 by Handshake Inc.
"Outré as they get, everything Pyrrhon do emanates from an obsidian death metal core - just that this music is that much more expressive, its impact that much more disquieting than almost anything else in the genre." - Decibel
The Bridal Procession's debut full-length release, "Astronomical Dimensions" delivers a devastating and merciless sound, with a realistic yet appropriately negative message about our corrupted present and compromised future.
For fans of BEHEMOTH, SEPTICFLESH, ORIGIN.
Since the release of 2008’s groundbreaking debut ‘In Waking: Divinity’, The Breathing Process have prided themselves on the hybrid nature of their music...showcasing a frankly jaw dropping ability to splice symphonic Black Metal with brutal Death Metal, they also manage to introduce elements of epic ambience and melody unseen by most bands in today’s realm of heavy music. Relentless touring with a wide variety of bands within different genres (Abigail Williams, Full Blown Chaos, Oceano, The Ghost Inside and many more) resulted in TBP gaining fans from all across the spectrum.
2010 now sees the release of the band’s eagerly awaited follow up to ‘...Divinity’ in the form of the monstrous opus that is ‘Odyssey : (Un)Dead’. Conceptually based on a single persons journey down the path of exile, it’s songs progress in bold, variating movements that emphasise upon the power and landscapes of the world’s elements; Oceans, Forests, Great Plains, Glaciers and Deserts. These elements are reflected in the songs themselves, almost as if each song is an interpretation of the world’s vastness...huge, grandiose keyboard flourishes blend with pulverising riffs and breakneck drumming, topped off by a perfect balance of screamed and sung vocal patterns. The sheer variety of the songs on display in this album are living proof that The Breathing process are not just one of the versatile bands around today, but also one of the most exciting...2010 will be the year that The Breathing Process make their mark in the world of heavy music.
For fans of THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD, WINDS OF PLAGUE, ABIGAIL WILLIAMS, IMPENDING DOOM, CARNIFEX.
The Breathing Process formed in Massachusetts/Connecticut 2004 starting out as a group of close friends with a love for all things epic... Starting out as many bands do, a new act playing local shows as openers for bigger bands passing through the state, the word quickly spread about their live show’s undeniable power and their following grew rapidly. The band’s relentless work ethic started to pay off then they caught the attention of SOAR records at the end of 2006. January 22nd sees the arrival of their astonishing debut ‘In Waking: Divinity’; a vast and pulverizing album conceptually based on Antigone, Pandora and the downfall of man. Combining a Death Metal backbone with sinister epic Black Metal and dizzying technical chops, The Breathing Process are without a doubt a 21st Century Metal band. Seamlessly crossing over between genres, and creating a sound utterly of their own, they will prove to be a band impossible to pigeonhole amidst a climate of bands that seem to all look and sound the same.
For fans of THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD, WINDS OF PLAGUE, ABIGAIL WILLIAMS, IMPENDING DOOM, CARNIFEX.

The UK hardcore boozehound veterans have compiled their first classic full length album: 18 songs in 22 minutes. On this album they tuned down and are playing faster than ever before. The lyrical content on this album targets everyone and does not make room for survivors. Prepare to get you asses kicked by the fear, the terror THE HORROR!
Suburban Voice (blog) wrote: "There's always talk about this band or that being the next hot thing from the UK and it's usually some watered down foppish shite, as they say over there. Fuck ALL of that shite, er, shitThe Horror are my favorite English band in recent years. Following a pair of mini-albums (compiled on one CD awhile back), here's their new album and it's just as wailing. Thrashy hardcore that's succinct and to-the-point both musically and lyrically. Songs that go from double-speed thrash to a more traditional pace to mid-tempo ass-kick. The post-mortems on Reagan continue with "Reagan's Out," and Maggie Thatcher doesn't escape their wrath either ("Still Hate Thatcher"), nor does the current (and unelected) White House resident. I don't need to prattle on or come up with other adjectives to express that this album hits hard."
Maximum Rock N Roll (#277) wrote: "Burly RIPCHORD style UK hardcore with the straightforward stripped down crunch of Boston '82 SS style hardcore. The throaty vocals gnarl and growl over fast hardcore with pounding breaks, updated through modern recording and the occassional shift in delivery to extreme high-speed thrashing and modern power-violence like flourishes. ....Blunt socio-political lyrics of resistance and anger. Killer"

Like all the best aural descents into madness, this one has taken its time to ready itself for another level of technical insanity, but now on a much darker plane. It’s time for DYSTROPHY to showcase the latest step in evolution, their 2nd album "Wretched Host".
The album is bookended by two haunting pieces of violin work, provided by guest Ben Karas (AKA Valček) of Windfaerer and Thank You Scientist, while the meaty tracks in between boast of a dissonant, warped and twisted death metal. Downtuned riffs ring out among a maelstrom of rhythmic shifts, and guttural vocals intone tales of the experience of losing your mind, based on personal experiences.
"Wretched Host" was mixed by guitarist Peter Lloyd at One Stone Recording & Mastering in New Brunswick, NJ, in keeping with the band’s DIY ethic, and was mastered by Alan Douches (ATHEIST, DEATH, CANNIBAL CORPSE) at West West Side Music in New Windsor, NY.
A must have for fans of DEATH, GORGUTS, ATHEIST, VOIVOD, RIPPING CORPSE, HUMANS REMAINS, DEATHSPELL OMEGA and the likes.
"This band evokes the same sorts of feelings and emotions that Gorguts do, which is saying a lot: add in a touch of swirling, swarming extreme death metal and also some sounds that bring the listener back to the glory days of Atheist and Pestilence, before technical death got overbearing, and the end result is just fantastic." - Brave Words
"...the combination of influences in Wretched Host give it an immediate accessibility without compromising the complexity or heaviness that is needed to be successful. It's an intoxicating mix that effectively takes the best elements of the noted influences and brings them together into something more. Expect Wretched Host to turn some heads as word gets around about these guys. Dystrophy should be on your 'get to know' list." - Dead Rhetoric
"Perhaps most impressive, though, is the overall feeling of the album. Lloyd and Brown's bottomless chugs, pick scrapes, and emotive solos (see "Exoparasite" for a perfect example) never feel forced. Everything is used to enhance that dissonant tone that always feels like a slow march to the grave, every black hole dive bomb of a downtuned riff taking you one step closer to oblivion." - Toilet ov Hell
"Dystrophy have truly delivered a different death metal experience with Wretched Host, one that could almost be considered doomy, yet never simple or repetitive. If you're one of those people who rants about how there are no new good death metal bands, or that they all sound the same, remove your head from your anus and give this a spin. You just might agree with me. Or not. It's not like I care!" - No Clean Singing
"This is brutal, technical death trudging through a doomy swamp... Everything about the sound is so deep and sickening. But rather than having a cavernous, blackened aesthetic; Dystrophy sounds like Cthulu emerging from a stagnant bog." - Metal Trenches
"The band quickly shows their ability to experiment within and beyond the confines of their primary sub-genre. This proves to be a large part of the album's allure. Dystrophy knows how to think outside of the box.... and I mean far outside the box. This spans through hints of Thrash, Sludge, and beyond to realms rarely traveled." - The Circle Pit
"Wretched Host is consistent punishment in a manner of Ulcerate meets Morbid Angel, which is more than okay in my book. Dystrophy's sound is heavy but they are in no rush to pummel you, the song writing is definitely creative and enjoyable; brutality in a swamp of viciousness." - Headbang or GTFO
Cobra Noir has unleashed its fury on the dead and the living. Fast and heavy, the hammering sound of this Canadian band is an assault without remorse. Continuing the work their previous Canadian hardcore/punk bands (Ire, The Black Hand, In Dying Days) began more than a decade ago, Cobra Noir combines ferocious live performances with unsettling political lyrics. For Fans of Disfear, Cursed and Tragedy.
After 20 years in the game, Japan's Slang are back with their fourth LP, bringing ten tracks of D-beat mayhem with metallic influences, bringing to mind bands like DISCHARGE, NIGHTMARE, DISCLOSE.
This is the fourth & new full length from Sapporo city Japanese hardcore veterans SLANG. After 3 limited edition ep releases (from Hg Fact, MCR, & Blood Sucker records) this 10 track album delivers their full hardcore potential worldwide. Band frontman and original member KO's vocal style has become even more powerful over the years and his intense high voltage sound fits their raging hardcore pace. This new output is more in the direction of their earliest releases and early Japanese hardcore influenced by Discharge rather than their mid period material, which has often been compared to Agnostic Front and ushc styles. This is a monumental full length and a must for Japanese hardcore fanatics!
This new Look Back And Laugh CD features the 4 tracks from the State Of Illusion 12", the 5 tracks from the Street Terrorism 7", and 3 tracks from the split they did with Drop Dead. A total of 12 tracks that offer a relentless barrage of raw and frenzied U.S. hardcore/punk with raging full-throttle politically/socially charged vocals.

The 2nd full length of New York death metal legends!!!
UNPERSONS formed in Savannah Georgia and have since found most of the band relocated across the globe. They've been churning out scatterbrained, unconventional harsh and heavy hardcore since 1997. Previous works include an epic full length CD "III" released on At a Loss Recordings, a self titled cd released on Born to Die, and a 7" on Fishfur records. This new release is a 15-minute distortion-drenched dirge ranging from wild and brutal to brooding and dark, often conjuring up the ghosts of United Mutations, Jesus Lizard, Rudimentary Peni, and Rorschach. Recorded at the Jam room in South Carolina.. mixed and produced by Unpersons and Phillip of KYLESA.
San Diego's Tarantula Hawk create a heavy, epic rock soundscape, a bit like a metal version of Godspeed You Black Emperor, with a healthy dose of Hawkwind." This debut release contains 6 songs morphed into one continuous track of heavy instrumental organ and bass driven "psychedelic-death-prog", laced with samples of vehement insects and wretched machines. Musically reminiscent of GOBLIN, old PINK FLOYD, MAN IS THE BASTARD, and KING CRIMSON executed by former members of THE LOCUST, STRUGGLE, and THE TITO O'TITO BAND.
Liege, Belgium and 2 ex-Hiatus members (guitar player and vocalist) + american import, ex-Medication Time drummer. Monumental, crusty metallic hardcore like mix of HIATUS, CONCRETE SOX, THE ACCUSED.
NIGEL PEPPER COCK have redefined the words sexy, heavy and out-of-control. An unstoppable force of fully erect alpha males, these super studs from the badlands are hell-bent on world domination in a vigilant frenzy of unmitigated lust.
Includes ex-members of DESTROY, DYSTOPIA, FUCKFACE, SKAVEN, MEDICATION TIME.
A spastic, sarcastic, piece of plastic, about being mentally challenged and fucked up on drugs during the second coming of Christ and World War IV. Mad frantic trash for dysfunctional members of society, executed by recovering members of DYSTOPIA, SKAVEN, THE IMPULSE ITEMS, and NIGEL PEPPER-COCK.
Black metal, not from the tundra, but as could only be churned out from the wasted cityscape of the SF Bay Area. Ludicra is urban, not ancient; emotional, not evil. This is black metal, but expect no Norway worship here, songs about snowy mountain peaks, or panda bear make-up. It is black metal by default only, and depressing and harsh by circumstance. Featuring members of Hammers of Misfortune, Fölcainö, Impaled, Ominum, and the Lord Weird Slough Feg.
