Debut full length of this furious grindcore band from Italy/Switzerland with Kevin Talley (DYING FETUS/MISERY INDEX) on drums.
The Italian band THE BASTARD WITHIN at the end of 2019 began to look for their debut album nest of support, which found the traditional UG label Immortal Souls Productions in Slovakia. The three guys who have GRINDCORE in their hearts have composed their 22 songs together with a major drummer from the USA who has worked with bands like Dying Fetus, Suffocation and The Black Dahlia Murder and you know his name is Kevin Talley . By the way, he introduced Dying Fetus in the old era here in Ruzomberok in the legendary club Apolo.
THE BASTARD WITHIN presents their songs as uncompromising, which can only be agreed. Their grindcore expression sometimes directed towards death metal elements is vigorous and has enormous power, which was also given by the excellent mastering work in Unisoud (Sweden). Of course, it was the hands and head of the master over the masters who we know from Edge Of Sanity and his name is Dan Swanö!
Although names like Kevin Talley and Dan Swanö promise excellent production, the most important roles in THE BASTARD WITHIN are played by CN Sid – Vocals, Gianluca Sulpizio – Guitars and Davide Stura – Bass. Album „Better Dead Than Friends“ also boasts excellent, though simple theme on the packaging. All that remains is to enjoy an official preview of the album and look forward to the final product, whether in the form of a classic CD or digital. Release date is 24 December 2019.
The debut album THE BASTARD WITHIN, however, participated in other guests – Jason Netherton / Misery Index /, Trevor / Sadist / Mãra Lisenko / MĀRA /, who contributed their art to the excellent result in recording „Better Dead Than Friends“.
